graychalk: (Aoharaido - return to happier days)
[personal profile] graychalk
Fandom: Ao Haru Ride
Characters: Tanaka Youichi, Murao Shuuko
Rating/Status: PG / 439 words, complete
Summary: In time, Youichi knows, she will move on and remember this as just a silly crush she once had as a teenage girl.

Author's Note: Because I'm rather curious about where Sakisaka plans to go with this whole Murao and Tanaka-sensei thing. Inspired by manga chapter 11.5, featuring the side story of Murao and Tanaka-sensei, so expect spoilers for that.

Written for my Ao Haru Ride claim at [livejournal.com profile] 24_times, #23 - In time. Table index here. In conjunction with [livejournal.com profile] 500themes, #490 - When tomorrows run out.

The massive list of prompts from [livejournal.com profile] 500themes that I've been meaning to put up here. I'm probably insane, but some motivation should be good. If anything, it'd get me to write in general, regardless whether I'll ever manage to complete this thing. :P

Progress: 017/500
Current Word Count: 6,635

The very long list. )
graychalk: (Team 7)
[personal profile] graychalk
Fandom: Naruto
Characters: Nara Yoshino, Shikamaru/Temari
Rating/Status: G / 207 words, complete
Summary: This day may have arrived sooner than she originally thought, but Yoshino couldn't have said she was all that surprised.

Author's Note: Originally written back in 2010, during my bout of run-on sentences phase. I had left it lying around because I kept wondering if I should expand on it further. Reading it again recently, I realized that there really isn't much I want to add, so I'm posting it as is, with a bit of clean-up.

Applicable prompts: [livejournal.com profile] 500themes, #364 - Bless the union.

[personal profile] graychalk
Fandom: Naruto
Characters: Uzumaki Naruto
Rating/Status: G / 176 words, complete
Summary: Naruto had always wanted to be a hero. But not this way.

Author's Note: Also an old piece I found lying around my folder of Naruto drafts. One of these days, I'll write something new. I'm sure of it. :P This one was actually part of a series of short pieces based on the theme of "Heroes" but I only wrote about four and never went on with it. I'll probably post the other three eventually (Orochimaru, Sakura, and Tsunade). This one is Naruto.

Applicable prompts: [livejournal.com profile] 500themes, #143 - Of blood and honor.

Shades of Hero )

Fandom: Naruto
Characters: Hatake Kakashi, Team 7
Rating/Status: G / 100 words, complete
Summary: Kakashi remembers too much, too little, and forgets why he has never passed a team.

Author's Note: An old piece sitting around my computer that I either post now or end up forever fiddling with. :p Notes regarding the title at the end of the fic.

Applicable prompts: [livejournal.com profile] 500themes, #205 - Memory of a dream.

Fandom: Naruto
Characters: Inuzuka Kiba/Hyuuga Hanabi
Rating/Status: PG-13 / 799 words, WIP
Chapter: 2 of ?, In Death the Sun Shines
Timeline: Undefined future, no spoilers
Summary: In Team 8, there were certain things you simply don't speak of. Perhaps it was because of this that he never really knew her at all.

Author's Notes: Here be the next part of "The Paradigm of Understanding" - ah, goodness, the title is such a mouthful. I suspect the next part will be a while solely because I'm busy with work, and anything I'm posting these days were really written last month while traveling anyway...

Fandom: Naruto
Characters: Inuzuka Kiba/Hyuuga Hanabi
Rating/Status: PG-13 / 832 words, WIP
Chapter: 1 of ?, A Razor's Edge
Timeline: Undefined future, no spoilers
Summary: In Team 8, there were certain things you simply don't speak of. Perhaps it was because of this that he never really knew her at all.

Author's Notes: Every time I lie down on the bed, I would get these "snapshots" in my head... like flashes of conversation, scenes, or just brief moments of something. I suppose you can say it's when my muse likes to visit me the most. As a result, that's where the basis of my stories generally come from. The following is a product of one of those flashes, pieced together on scraps of paper throughout the trips I had to take for work this past month. Like Simply Unspoken, it's Kiba/Hanabi, though these two fics are definitely not related in any way. This one has way more angst and much less fluff.
