Author's Note: This picture is so beautiful - and sad, because well, Asuma. 'Nuff said. I couldn't resist writing a few words for it. Looking at the picture just makes me think of "after Asuma is gone" more than "while he is still alive" so I ended up with this.

Hues of red warms her face, and she takes a moment to watch the sun rise above the distant mountains. She sets the watering can aside, placing a hand on the swell of her stomach.
Kurenai doesn’t tell anyone, but sometimes, when she closes her eyes and stills her breath just so, she can feel him standing there like the soft caress of fingers on skin.
