[Fic] Inuyasha: Cycles of Destiny

Cycles of Destiny
by Téa P.

A Sesshoumaru and Kagome Story

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prelude: A Time of Before and After

They say every story has a beginning and an ending.

But there is also a belief that talks of how the world moves in a whirlwind of cause and effect, of action and reaction where one thing inevitably leads to another. It makes you wonder how much of what you do is really yours alone; where the choices made by others end and where yours truly begin.

It gives time an odd quality, turning it into an intangible existence that has no beginning and no ending. It goes on, the essence of our actions and our decisions. It becomes embedded in the before and the after, forever changing the paths that are given to us. It becomes a cycle of time that keeps going.

Kagome had never given destiny much thought. That's not to say that she didn't believe in such a thing. She just didn't think she had one. And then it found her.

Yes, for good or bad, I've restarted this fic again after 4 years of neglect. God help me.

* And yes, this account is also me. I normally don't use this account to post my fics or do anything non-graphics related, but I forgot to log out. :P

Ooohh nice! I've always been fond of the Sesshomaru/Kagome pairing for some reason. X3

I like the air you create with your writings; something I've noticed after reading Pictures on the Wall and this one. I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but its very soothing.

Wow, you read Sesshoumaru/Kagome pairing fics too? o_o Lol...I never even realized that you were even remotely interested in Inuyasha, nevermind this pairing. :D

And really? I have a soothing air in my writing? *_* Ah, I love that. ^^; Thank you very much. Oddly enough, even though my life revolves around graphics and design so much more- I actually care more about what people think of my writing. :p

I admit I haven't been caught up for the longest time and I'm not as into it as much as when I first got into it but I still think its a great series and I'm a big fan of Rumiko Takahashi's work. :D I really like the Sessh/Kag pairing too for some reason, something about the idea of two people like them together is just adorable. x3

I really do think so and I like how you give just enough details to explain whats going on and such.♥♥

Heh, that's me too. The last time I watched or read Inuyasha was almost 3 years ago, when I abandoned the fic. :p I'm a fan of Takahashi's work too! I grew up watching a few of them. ^_^

And thanks again. I'm all happy now. :DD

i came here from ff.net after seeing the link. boy, was i surprised to see this story again! i had given up all hope of continuation after you left it off years ago. i remember how popular this fic was and how GOOD it was and i'm rubbing my hands in anticipation for more. ^_^ i have a question: since you've added a prelude and you're also doing revisions, are we going to see major changes in your fic? i know you stopped writing pretty early in the fic but i was just wondering if you're going to change a lot of things that you wrote before. i'm all for new ideas but there were many parts that i loved and i hope they'll still be in it when you post the updated chapters.

well anyway, i love the fic and i'm glad to see you giving it another chance. i'll eagerly await the updates! =)

Oh, thank you so much for dropping by! It means a great deal to me that there are some people out there who actually still remember this fic. I'm shocked, really. ^^; It appears I've lost most of my old readers, but just hearing from even a few has made my day. It's already more than I deserve for leaving this fic hanging for 3 years. :p

As for your question- I'd say no, nothing major will change. You might remember the horrid mistake I made about when Inuyasha turned human- that bugged me a whole lot, and that's probably the biggest change I've made to the revisions (a necessary one, of course). Other than that, I'd say the "changes" would be better classified as additions. I added more details and such. The dialogue between characters will probably remain the same in essence, but the wording is edited in some areas. My writing style has changed quite a bit through out the years, so that area has been tampered with as well. :) That's about all, really!

Anyhow, thank you again for the comments- I'll try my best to update as fast as I can! ^^

you wrote!

Yesh I wrote...lol. I'm surprised. I was sorting through some of my old notebooks and came across the 20-page outline I made of the fic and that kinda got things rolling.

It's gonna be difficult writing it since I'm just not a big fan of the series like I used to be, but I liked the idea of my story so I'm trying to get it out! I didn't think you liked this story all that much...so I'm glad to hear you're happy about me picking it up again. ^^

Oh, btw, I went to look for you online the other day but you were away. :(
